Wednesday, February 25:

Eric Hon, Operations Manager, San Jose Downtown Association on Groundwerx that provides enhanced cleaning, ambassador and image enhancement services resulting in improved vitality and increased property values.

They also have a contract with Downtown Streets Team (homeless employment and housing program) to employ homeless people cleaning

Wednesday, March 4:

Valley Transportation Authority (VTA): Kathleen Podrasky, VTA Community Outreach, will fill us in on the plans for two new transit programs that will come down Santa Clara St. close to our doors:

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit,) a fast lane in the middle of the street for fast buses which will stop in fewer places than the current Rte. 22 between Palo Alto south to Eastridge, East San Jose

and BART which will come underground from East San Jose to a new Station on Santa Clara St.

City of San Jose

Leadership at the City of San Jose and with our downtown homeless “problem” - What's coming our way? What should we know? How can we take part?

New City Councilman Raul Peralez, District 3 (replacing Sam Liccardo, who is now Mayor)

and Ray Bramson, San Joses Homeless Response Team Manager.
